The George and Nora London Foundation for Singers offers substantial awards to the most promising performers through its 52nd annual juried competition for outstanding young North American opera singers. This year's judges will be Harolyn Blackwell, Susan Quittmeyer, Susanne Mentzer, Dimitri Pittas and James Morris. Michael Fennelly is the event’s pianist for the final round, which will be followed by the awards announcement.

About the George and Nora London Foundation Competition and Awards
The George London Awards have been given since 1971.
Winners are selected from an annual applicant pool of over 150 opera singers.
From these, a maximum of 90 singers are selected to participate in a preliminary round over the course of three days.
Typically, applicants are asked to sing two arias for the panel of judges, but may be asked to sing a third.
Following the preliminary round, up to 15 singers are selected to compete in the finals before an audience at the Morgan Library and Museum. Each finalist sings one aria selected by the judges. Immediately following the performance, the judges deliberate and up to 5 George London Awards of $12,000 each are given to the winners.
All of the remaining finalists receive encouragement awards of $2,000 each.
